PDX Airport Chauffeur Pickup Procedure

20-30 min to downtown From $180 Flight tracking included

Your chauffeur will meet you on the lower level outside baggage claim at Portland International Airport. The airport uses a dedicated ground transportation island located between the terminal and the parking garage. Look for the signed limousine and livery section near the center of the island. Your driver will hold a sign displaying your name or your company name. We monitor incoming flights through our dispatch system and adjust pickup timing for early or delayed arrivals. International travelers should allow approximately 45 minutes after landing to clear customs and collect luggage. Domestic passengers typically need 20 to 30 minutes from touchdown to curbside. Text the dispatch number when you land if you prefer direct curbside coordination.

An Honest Limitation

We cannot park and wait inside the PDX terminal. The airport requires all livery vehicles to stage at the ground transportation center. During busy periods, the loop can back up, so your pickup may take five to ten minutes after you call ready. We recommend confirming your mobile number at booking.

Finding your way through PDX

Portland International has one main terminal, with its concourses fanning out from the central hall. Arrivals and baggage claim are on the lower level, and departures and ticketing are on the upper roadway. Prearranged vehicles do not use the upper curb for arrivals; commercial ground transportation operates from the designated commercial curb on the lower level of the terminal roadway, under a Port of Portland livery permit.

In practice that means: collect your bags, meet your chauffeur at baggage claim with a name sign, and walk out together to the lower-level commercial area. For departures, your chauffeur drops you on the upper roadway at the door nearest your airline.

Leaving the airport

From the terminal, Airport Way connects to I-205, which heads north over the Glenn Jackson Bridge into Vancouver or south to the I-84 Banfield corridor toward the Lloyd District and downtown. The I-84 and I-205 interchange near PDX sees recurring congestion from about 3:00 to 6:30 p.m., which matters most for trips out to the east and south suburbs. Dispatch picks the route on the day, and the flat quote does not change because traffic did.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my driver at PDX?

Your driver waits at the lower-level ground transportation island near the limousine and livery signs. Look for your name on a handheld sign.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track flights automatically and adjust pickup time based on actual arrival. You do not need to call for routine delays under two hours.

Is the quoted rate the final price?

The quoted rate covers the base sedan transfer. Tolls, parking, wait time, late-night fees, and gratuity may be added depending on the trip.

Can my chauffeur pick me up at the upper departures curb?

No. Arrivals pickups for prearranged vehicles happen on the lower level at the commercial curb. Drop-offs for departing flights use the upper departures roadway.

Do you cover red-eye arrivals and early morning departures?

Yes. Dispatch runs around the clock, so late-night arrivals and first-wave morning departures are booked and tracked the same way as any other flight.
