Our dispatch team is a New York-based chauffeured transportation company that coordinates every Portland ride through vetted local affiliate operators. Beaverton is Oregon's sixth-largest city and sits in the heart of the Silicon Forest in eastern Washington County. The Nike World Headquarters is just west of the city in unincorporated Washington County and is one of the most common destinations on this route. Other stops include the Beaverton Round, Tualatin Hills Nature Park, and offices along Cedar Hills Boulevard and Walker Road. The city also has a large population of tech workers who commute to Intel campuses in nearby Hillsboro.
The Sunset Highway, US-26 west, is the main corridor, and it slows the most between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. heading out of Portland.
Drivers usually leave PDX on I-205 south, take I-84 west, then use I-405 north or south to reach US-26 west. Some trips use I-205 to I-5 south and connect to US-26 near the Sylvan interchange. The Sylvan Hill and the merge with OR-217 are the usual slowdowns. Morning inbound traffic into Portland can also crawl from Murray Boulevard to the tunnel. Dry summer evenings move fastest because the road dries out and traffic lightens, but rain makes the Sylvan curves slick and slows everyone down.
SUVs start at $160 and are the right choice for Nike campus visits, equipment, or groups of three or more.
A sedan handles one or two travelers with carry-ons. An SUV is better if you are touring the Nike campus, carrying product samples, or traveling with colleagues. All quotes include airport parking, tolls, flight tracking, and curbside pickup on the lower level outside baggage claim at PDX. Gratuity is not included unless arranged in advance. The dispatcher will confirm whether you need a sedan or SUV based on passenger and luggage count.
Add 20 to 30 minutes during westbound evening rush, rain, and when the Timbers or Thorns play downtown.
The Sunset Highway can pool water in heavy rain and visibility drops through the Sylvan curves. Timbers and Thorns matches at Providence Park send post-game traffic onto I-405 and US-26. If you are heading to a dinner near downtown Beaverton, allow extra time on weekends when downtown events close Farmington Road. Winter fog in the Tualatin Valley can also slow the final miles.
This route serves tech, apparel, and sportswear executives, plus meetings at the Nike campus and Washington County corporate offices.
We see steady demand from footwear and tech teams visiting Beaverton and nearby Hillsboro. Dispatchers will ask about luggage and passenger count to recommend the right vehicle. Traffic is outside our control, but we check conditions before dispatching and adjust routes when a clear alternate exists. The Nike campus does not allow unannounced entry, so we drop at the visitor entrance unless you have a building pass.
