Convention center transportation is point-to-point and shuttle service for exhibitors, attendees, and staff. Our dispatch team is a New York-based chauffeured transportation company, and every Portland ride is coordinated through a vetted local affiliate operator. The service moves people between the venue, Lloyd District hotels, PDX, downtown, and off-site dinners. The venue is located in the Lloyd District, just east of the Willamette River. Vehicles include sedans, SUVs, vans, and Sprinters.
Trade shows, fan conventions, and corporate events drive demand.
Major events include the Portland International Auto Show in January and home, garden, and bridal shows. Wedding expos, pet shows, and comic conventions also bring large crowds to the venue. Groups stay at Lloyd District hotels such as the DoubleTree, Hyatt Regency, and Crowne Plaza. Attendees also travel to downtown hotels, the Pearl District, and Moda Center for evening events. The Oregon Convention Center at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd opened in 1990 and completed a major renovation in 2011. It offers 255,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space and two 100-foot glass spires. Demand peaks in January, spring wedding show season, and fall industry conferences.
Sedans, SUVs, vans, and Sprinters match different group sizes.
Sedans work for one or two executives or VIP speakers. SUVs handle small teams with display materials. Vans and Sprinters move larger groups and booth gear. Sprinters can carry banners, collapsible displays, and sample cases when freight elevators are unavailable. Routes commonly run between the Oregon Convention Center, PDX, downtown hotels, and the Lloyd District.
Pricing is based on distance, vehicle size, and duration.
Point-to-point rides from downtown hotels to the Oregon Convention Center start around $130 for a sedan. PDX-to-downtown transfers start at a written flat rate. Hourly shuttle loops start around $120 per hour for sedans and $135 per hour for vans. Sprinter group shuttles start around $240 per hour with a four-hour minimum. All-day group shuttles for 100 or more attendees may require multiple vehicles and advance coordination. Parking, tolls, and late-night surcharges are billed separately. Gratuity is not included unless arranged in advance.
One limitation is that MAX may be faster for solo daytime travelers.
The MAX Yellow and Green lines stop at the Oregon Convention Center, so single travelers with light bags may find light rail faster and cheaper during daytime hours. We focus on groups, executives, after-hours trips, and travelers with heavy booth materials or tight schedules. During major events, street parking near the venue is restricted and hotel loading zones can be congested.
