How wedding-day transportation works
A wedding day is a timeline with a handful of fixed points: getting ready, the ceremony, photos, the reception and the send-off. Send us that timeline with every address and the number of people moving at each step, and dispatch assigns a vehicle to each leg. One dispatcher holds the whole plan, so if the photographer needs twenty more minutes at the park, the change is made once and every chauffeur knows.
Chauffeur names and contact numbers reach you before the day. On the day itself, each car arrives ahead of its scheduled pickup, and the chauffeur confirms the door, the parking situation and who is riding before anyone steps outside in their good shoes.
Choosing vehicles for the couple, family and guests
Most weddings use two or three vehicle types rather than one:
- The couple: the Mercedes-Benz S-Class at $230 per hour gives the most private rear cabin for the ride from ceremony to reception.
- Parents and grandparents: the E-Class sedan at $120 per hour, or the Escalade at $150 per hour when up to six people are riding together.
- The wedding party: the Escalade suits a small party; larger parties move together in the Sprinter.
- Guests: the Sprinter at $240 per hour seats up to fourteen and works well as a shuttle between the hotel block and the venue.
Every class runs on a three-hour minimum, and the written quote lists each vehicle, its hours and the total before you book.
Venues in the city and out in the valley
In the city, receptions often land in downtown hotel ballrooms, event spaces in the Pearl District and along the river, and ceremonies in Washington Park. Just as many couples head out of town: to wineries around Dundee and Newberg in the Willamette Valley, reached on OR-99W, or east along I-84 into the Columbia River Gorge. Those trips add real driving time in each direction, so the timeline should include it, and guest shuttles need a planned last departure from the venue.
Rural venues bring their own details. Tell us about gravel drives, narrow lanes and where vehicles are allowed to park, especially for a high-roof Sprinter, so the right vehicle is sent and nobody is walked down a dark lane at the end of the night.
Galas, concerts and game nights
The same planning applies to other big evenings. Chauffeurs regularly handle nights at the Moda Center, matches at Providence Park, shows at the Keller Auditorium and the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and galas at the Oregon Convention Center. Event traffic changes where cars may stop: on Providence Park match days, for instance, the car may wait on a side street a short walk from the stadium, and a big convention center event may keep vehicles away from the main entrance. Your chauffeur calls with the exact meeting point so you are not searching a crowded curb.
Pricing and booking
Event transportation is billed hourly at the published rates: $120 for a sedan, $150 for an SUV, $230 for the S-Class and $240 for the Sprinter, each with a three-hour minimum. A three-hour S-Class booking for the couple comes to $690, and a five-hour Sprinter guest shuttle comes to $1,200 before any requested extras. Book online, call dispatch, or email the full timeline and we will send a written quote for the whole day. Cancel at least twenty-four hours before pickup to avoid charges.
