Our dispatch team is a New York-based chauffeured transportation company that coordinates every Portland ride through vetted local affiliate operators. Vancouver sits just across the Columbia River from Portland in Washington state. It is the fourth-largest city in Washington and the commercial hub of Clark County. The Vancouver Waterfront Park, Esther Short Park, and Fort Vancouver National Historic Site are common destinations. Fort Vancouver was originally a Hudson's Bay Company fur trading post established in 1824. Washington has no sales tax, which is why some corporate travelers base meetings there. The city also serves as a bedroom community for thousands of Portland workers.

Drivers prefer I-205 north across the Glenn Jackson Bridge because the I-5 bridge is unreliable during peak hours and bridge lifts.

The most reliable routing from PDX is I-205 north to State Route 14 or Mill Plain Boulevard. The I-5 Interstate Bridge is closer to downtown Vancouver but is prone to lift bridge openings and heavy rush-hour backups. From the Glenn Jackson Bridge, drivers can use SR-14 west into downtown Vancouver or Mill Plain for eastside addresses. Traffic northbound is worst from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., and the SR-14 merge with I-205 can also slow during the morning commute.

SUVs start at $165 and are useful for state government, construction, and cross-border business trips.

A sedan is fine for one or two passengers. An SUV makes sense for groups, lots of samples, or when you are crossing between Oregon and Washington multiple times in a day. Quotes include airport parking, tolls, flight tracking, and curbside pickup on the lower level outside baggage claim at PDX. Gratuity is not included unless set up in advance. The dispatcher will ask whether you are heading to downtown Vancouver or the eastside to choose the best bridge.

Add 15 to 25 minutes during northbound evening rush, I-5 bridge lifts, and summer concerts at the Vancouver Waterfront.

The I-5 bridge lift schedule is not in our control, and a single lift can back up traffic into Portland. Summer concerts at the waterfront park fill downtown Vancouver streets. Winter fog on the Columbia can also slow the bridges. If your meeting is near Clark College or the county courthouse, allow extra time on weekdays.

This route serves executives with offices near Esther Short Park, the waterfront, or Clark County government buildings.

We book frequent rides to Vancouver for legal, government, and manufacturing clients. Dispatchers will ask whether you prefer downtown Vancouver or the eastside to choose the best bridge. The flat rate means no surprises if the bridge is slow. Vancouver also has its own rush pattern because many residents commute south into Portland each morning.
